French Minor

The minor in French allows students to develop their proficiency while concentrating on other fields of study. 

Students pursuing a minor in French usually take 15-19 credits of coursework and may select from several options depending upon their level of proficiency and their academic interests.  Students who have studied abroad are encouraged to contact the undergraduate advisor in French to discuss the transfer of credits toward the minor.  

For the minor in French, students may choose one of the following options:

Minor in French Language and Literature

FR 0004 FR 0004 And 1-2 courses from the following: FR 0055, 0056 0057, 0080, 1080, for a total of 5 courses
FR 0020 or 0021 FR 0080, 0081, 0085
19 credits 19 credits 15 credits

Minor in French Studies

And any combination of an additional 3 courses from 0080 and 1080 series And any combination of an additional 3 courses from 0080 and/or 1080 series
