Tutoring
Pitt Students
The department has a tutoring program in place to help students enrolled in Italian courses at Pitt. For more information, see your instructor.
If you do not want to have extra help from your classroom instructor, feel free to visit any of the TAs during their posted office hours and ask for help. The TAs have scheduled their office hours generously across the week so that students from different classes may visit teachers other than their own.
If you need much more additional help beyond the extra help offered in regular office hour sessions, you may need to hire a tutor from among the Pitt teaching assistants. The current rate for Pitt students is negotiable.
Non-Pitt students
The department can help you find a tutor for private lessons. The current rate for this service is negotiable.
For more information please refer to the department's tutoring policy
Interpretation and Translation
The department can also help you locate the right person for any interpreting or translating needs you might have.
Please contact Administrative Staff in French and Italian, for more information, 412-624-5220.
