Italian Program Co-hosts Italian American Studies Association Conference

The Italian Program will co-host the 54th meeting of the Italian American Studies Association (formerly the American Italian Historical Association) with the Italian American Program of the Heinz History Center, October 27-30. In addition to over 25 panels of scholarly and creative presentations, the event will feature pre-conference workshops on memory writing and integrating archives into the curriculum; a keynote address by Pittsburgh native Laura Ruberto; a plenary talk by Edvige Giunta; a walking tour of Italian diasporic public art; and a pop-up museum experience at the Tito-Mecca-Zizza House.
