Karen Adams

Karen Adams received a BA in History and French from Vassar College in 2003 and a PhD in French from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016, under the direction of Renate Blumenfeld-Kosinski. Her dissertation examined the intersection of gender identity and kinship in three medieval French texts in which female characters cross-dress and/or undergo a divinely-ordained sex change. She has taught French language, literature, and culture at Norwich University in Vermont and at Cal State University, Long Beach.
